6:22pm. Packing a suitcase, drinking champagne. Listening to people out on the street angrily screaming at each other. They’re so cute.
Designing a two-page ad for PATIENT, FOLDED HANDS for Benefactor Magazine. Drinking a local beer called Hop Lava and listening to Misfits.

Picked up a new camera flash for tour this morning, feeling sick from strenuous drinking. My old flash went missing in Spain last month.
What a band they were and still can be. I wish I could photograph that.
That was probably the very last time I thought I could witness the second coming. I want to go back to that parking lot and listen.
CONTINUATION: At first felt half and half. Some songs stuck and some didn’t. Now, gosh I wish they could go back and write some SONGS.
1998: I was building cabinets in an ambulance factory. Took off one week in anticipation of REM’s ‘Up’, listened to it in the parking lot.
Listening to the album now I still have the same chills. I want to go back to a day when I felt there was something to hope for.
I want to be excited about stuff again.
That was a great record. Nowadays that week of my life is a complete fucking blur, but one thing I do know and remember: I was happy.
